Photo by AP. Two senior citizens woke up to their home on fire in Lee County. The man who saved them from the home said the arsonist wanted them dead. A man set a home on fire with a flaming jug at Suncoast Estates. “He had this flaming jug in his hand,” Steve Swallows said. “And he just took off running through the gate at my moms.” Steve Swallows is related to the two victims and lives just behind the now charred him. Swallows said he will never forget what he saw. “When I saw the flames the first thought in my head was getting them out of the house,” Swallows said. Swallows wants justice. “I just hope the police catch the guy,” Sallows said. “I’ll do everything in my power to see that he does go to jail for what he did to them.” WINK News is unable to share the identity of the person Swallows named because deputies have not made an arrest or announced a suspect. The two victims will remain with family while they search for a new home.
