Three shootings targeted the Cape Coral area in less than a week, and some people there say they are no longer surprised by the crime.

“You hear so much of it that we’re becoming immune to it. You know it’s like oh another shooting”

Two gunmen are on the run, sparking concern from the Cape Coral community and law enforcement.

One of the shootings happened at the Waffle House early Sunday morning near Cape Coral Parkway. One person was hurt and police say two suspects are still on the run.

Roughly 24 hours later, another shooting happened, and police said it was domestic. A woman was arrested for shooting at her husband but luckily in that instance, no one was hurt.

But possibly the scariest situation happened a day later when bullets went flying through an unsuspecting neighborhood hitting three homes.

Cape police say none of these shootings are connected, but the search continues to intensify for whoever pulled the trigger.

“Yes people have a right to be concerned when they see this sort of thing happening. We absolutely do not want to see this happen in our city. And we’re going to investigate it fully,” police said.

Law enforcement are asking for your help, if you have any information on the shooters call police.
