Following a number of shootings here in Southwest Florida, some of those killers are still on the loose and it has residents here worried.

Thursday, Councilman Johnny Streets is attempting to do something about it, by coming up with a solution. Streets is hosting a Town Hall meeting tonight in hopes of coming up with that solution.

After events like the shooting at Lee Memorial Hospital and Bell Tower shops, those criminals are still wandering the streets.

Councilman Streets says something needs to be done about it.

“Unless we have somebody in custody, unless we got it under control that we know they’re not in danger and we have perhaps violent people on our streets responsible for these homicides then everybody is still in danger,” said Streets.

The town hall to discuss solutions takes place tonight at 7 PM at the Riverside Community Center in Fort Myers.
