New developments provide affordable housing in Cape Coral

Small home developments could be a possible solution to the issue of affordable homes shortage in Cape Coral.

The developments are called Micro-Cottage Village developments, and they will be built on actual foundations.

The smaller homes in the development would sit on 3-acre sites, made up of clusters of at least 4 to 12 homes.

The floor plans can be no larger than 1100 feet, and that’s not including porch or garage, although neither are required.

Each cluster of homes will be serviced by city utilities.
