MGN A southern Illinois woman is set to give birth to her own grandchildren because her daughter is unable to get pregnant. Micaela Johnson was diagnosed with a rare form of cervical cancer in 2015. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports she and her husband froze their embryos before Johnson underwent a treatment process that left her infertile. Johnson wanted to expand her family after being cancer free for two years. The 26-year-old asked her mother, Sheila Gump, to carry her children. Gump is 43. That still makes her a good candidate for surrogacy. She’s expected to give birth to her daughter’s twins – one boy and one girl – in July. Gump says she’s excited to “spoil” her grandchildren. ___ Information from: St. Louis Post-Dispatch, http://www.stltoday.com
