Lanes reopen after crash on Alico Road

A crash involving injuries temporarily blocked the westbound lanes of Alico Road near Indy Drive in Fort Myers.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. A car wound up overturned on the roadway.

According to authorities, the incident did NOT involve a fatality and two people were transported to Gulf Coast Hospital.

It is unclear what caused the crash or what the extent of the injuries are. The crash remains under investigation.

All lanes have been reopened.
