Couple accused of taking child from Cape Coral school make first appearence

A couple accused of taking an 8-year-old girl from her elementary school in Cape Coral made their first appearance in court on Monday.

Theodore and Jennifer Moschovas are charged with interference with custody, a third-degree felony, which could mean up to 5 years in prison.

Officials issued an Amber Alert for the girl on Feb. 22. The girl was found safe in Alabama and picked up by her father the next day.

Next court date is April 2, at 8:30 a.m.
