Eleven thousand is the average number of children conceived on Valentine’s Day. Despite all of this love, 53 percent of women said they would end their relationship if they didn’t get anything on February 14th.

What is your favorite Valentine’s Day gift?

One hundred and ninety eight million roses are produced for Valentine’s Day in America, according to the national retail federation. To get the best roses, make sure they are kept cold and have tight buds. But don’t buy online: they may be delivered in a hot truck and die within a day. Head to your local grocery store or florist.

If jewelry is the gift of choice this year, set a budget and stick to it. Check the certification for diamonds that verify their cut, carat, color, and clarity.

If you’re trying to save, skipping the fancy restaurant is the best tip. Prepare a nice dinner at home … but avoid eating at your normal table. Lay out blankets and candles somewhere cozy to make the meal feel special. And consider a good bottle of prosecco instead of expensive champagne.

But if you are going out, secure a baby sitter ahead of time and ask them to come an hour early so you can get ready without watching the kids.

People aged 25 to 34 spend the most money on valentine’s day, followed by the 35 to 44 year old group. Spending decreases dramatically in the 55 and older group, with individuals spending an average of 95 dollars.
