Photo via the Lee County Sheriff’s Office A 24-year-old man accused of smashing into a car and then falling asleep in it was arrested Thursday, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Elishia Phillip Chandler, of Orange County, faces charges of burglary of a conveyance and criminal mischief, deputies said. The victim was at the Winn Dixie on 1016 Cape Coral Parkway East, deputies said. When the victim returned to the parking lot, he found his car’s rear doors had been heavily damaged and one of the windows had been broken. Chandler was sleeping in the front passenger seat of the victim’s car and appeared to be intoxicated, deputies said. Chandler is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on March 5. Bond has not yet been sat.
