A former Naples Police Department officer was found not guilty Friday of lewd and lascivious molestation on two young girls.

Ricardo Vazquez Jr., 39 was accused of inappropriately touching two girls between the ages of 10 and 16 multiple times in 2016, according to an arrest report.

Vazquez did receive two misdemeanor charges of battery in association with the case, but already served the time in jail while waiting for the trial to take place.

Three men and three women jurors found Vazquez innocent of the molestation allegations and he will be released as a free man Friday after spending nearly two years behind bars.

During the trial, Vazquez admitted to watching pornography with his wife in an emotional testimony, but stressed his innocence regarding the charges.
