Victims involved in Fort Myers shooting identified
Two people involved in a shooting on Maple Avenue have been identified, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.
The shooting happened at Monday at an apartment complex on Maple Avenue near Royal Palm Avenue, police said.
Fort Myers residents Stefon Dontrell Bell, 23, and Frederick Eugene Scurry, 38, both suffered serious injuries, but are expected to survive, police said. Investigators determined Bell and Scurry shot each other.
The shooting was an isolated incident and police say that Scurry and Bell knew each other.
