Widespread fog cut visibilities to a quarter-mile or less Friday morning, but the fog won’t be as dense when it returns Saturday morning, WINK meteorologist Zach Maloch said.

Some departing flights were delayed and even canceled Friday morning at Southwest Florida International Airport. The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for the entire region that expired at 9 a.m.

Partly cloudy skies will dominate Friday afternoon with a high of 84. A similar set-up is in play for Saturday, when the high will reach 82.

Highs in the lower 80s are expected for Sunday and Christmas Day, with a mix of sun and clouds.
