Surveillance video shows moments leading up to July Fort Myers shooting

FORT MYERS, Fla. Newly released surveillance video shows the moments surrounding a July shooting near the Downtown House of Pizza.

The shooting happened at around 2:45 a.m. on July 15 near the Downtown House of Pizza on the 1000 block of Hendry Street, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Roberto Pacheco, 32, of Fort Myers, is accused of getting into a physical argument with a group of women and then shooting at Spencer Gerard Toles, 27, of Naples, who attempted to break up the fight, police said.

The video shows bystanders scattering from the scene after shots were fired. Moments later, the suspect is seen being arrested after he attempted to leave.

Since his arrest, Pacheco was released on bond and faces multiple misdemeanor charges and a city ordinance violation.
