Early voting to begin in Fort Myers, Cape Coral

FORT MYERS, Fla. Residents in two Lee County cities can begin casting their ballots Monday for early voting in the general election.

Early voting takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, according to the Lee County Elections website. The general election is Nov. 7.

Elections will take place for Fort Myers Council Wards 1, 3 and 5.

Eight candidates will face off for councilmember positions in Cape Coral Council Districts 1, 4, 5, and 6, according to the Cape Coral elections website.

Two candidates are vying for the mayorship to replace Marni Sawicki, who announced she wouldn’t seek relection.
