More than 60 national, regional stores to close on Thanksgiving

FORT MYERS, Fla. The list of retailers closed on Thanksgiving is getting longer.

More than five dozen national and regional stores are planning to close on the holiday, according to the website bestblackfriday.com. They include Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Stein Mart and Shoe Carnival, which were open on Thanksgiving 2016.

Big box stores like Walmart, Target and Best Buy, which often have some of the most significant doorbuster deals, are expected to be open. But shoppers can still be successful without having to leave home on the holiday, since many of those retailers offer the same sales online, according to the website.
