ESTERO, Fla. The last Hurricane Irma shelter in Southwest Florida is shutting its doors.

The shelter as the Estero Recreation Center will close on Saturday, county spokesman Tim Engstrom said. Four dozen evacuees remain there, according to the American Red Cross.

Officials are working to find housing for them. Some will go to hotels and other to the Bob Janes Triage Center, a permanent community shelter on Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers.
