MARCO ISLAND, Fla. A suspicious man was accused of trying to lure a 12-year-old female student into his car Tuesday, according to the Marco Island Police Department. The student was walking home from Charter Middle School when she was approached by a man in a tan four-door car with tinted windows, police said. The man drove alongside the girl and told her to come to his vehicle, police said. The man screamed at the girl after she ignored him. The girl ran from the area and called her mother to pick her up after the man asked her if she needed a ride home. The man was described to have gray hair, a beard, glasses and a very thin body build, police said. The man was last seen wearing a blue-collared golf shirt.
