Suspects sought in south Fort Myers convenience store robbery

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A 7-Eleven was robbed early Tuesday morning on Cleveland Avenue, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said.

Two male suspects entered the store just after 4 a.m. on 11700 S. Cleveland Ave., according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. One suspect hopped over the counter and cleared out cash from the register while the other suspect guarded the door and the counter and pointed an unknown object from under his shirt.

The men then left the store with the cash, fled westbound on foot on Palm Drive and through Pine Manor, Crime Stoppers said.

The first suspect is described as being 5’9″ in his early 20s, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said. He was was wearing black shorts, white shoes, socks, a black and blue Orlando Magic Shaquille O’Neal No. 32 jersey. He covered his face and head with a white t-shirt and wore gray gym shorts across his chest with his arms in the leg holes.

The second suspect is described as being 5’9″ in his mid to late 20s, with medium build and dreadlocks longer than his shoulder, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. He was wearing a black shirt, a black beanie hat and covered his face with a dark cloth.

Anyone with information should call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS to report an anonymous tip. Callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips can also be made online or through the P3Tips mobile app.
