NAACP files complaint with Collier school district

FORT MYERS, Fla. The NAACP of Collier County has filed a complaint with the Collier County school district over its decision to use Martin Luther King Day as a makeup day.

Students were originally scheduled to be off for the Jan. 15 holiday, but the district chose to use it to replace one of the days missed due to Hurricane Irma.

The district also added school days on Veterans Day and Presidents Day.
