MOORE HAVEN, Fla. A pedestrian was pronounced dead after being hit by two cars Thursday night. The collisions happened around 10 p.m. in the outside northbound lane of U.S. 27 east of Bronson Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said. No charges were filed against either of the drivers. One of the cars was a Ford Exhibition SUV and the other was a Toyota Corolla, according to the FHP. The name of the pedestrian was withheld pending next of kin notification, the FHP said. It’s unclear why the pedestrian was in the road.
