Delta Air Lines to offer discounted flights to Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. Delta Air Lines will offer discounted flights to Florida starting Friday.

VISIT Florida announced its partnership with Delta Air Lines after Hurricane Irma in an effort to help bring more tourism to areas around the state, including Fort Myers.

The sale will run from Oct. 5 to Oct. 12 for travel through Feb. 14, 2018. Discounts will vary by destination.

Gov. Rick Scott released the following statement after the announcement:

“Following natural disasters like Hurricane Irma, VISIT FLORIDA is on the front lines of protecting our tourism industry and the many families whose livelihoods depend on tourism-related jobs. It is great news that VISIT FLORIDA’s partnership with Delta will help encourage more visitors to come to our beautiful state. We will continue to work alongside the entire tourism industry to share the message that Florida is open for business.”
