1 killed in Naples crash

NAPLES, Fla. One person was killed in a crash Saturday morning on County Road 92, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened at around 8:30 a.m. on County Road at Ted Curci Road, the FHP said. The collision caused a complete roadblock on County Road 92.

Philip N. Wysong, 30, of Tennessee, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram southbound on County Road 92, the FHP said. The victim was driving a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle behind Wysong.

Wysong left the roadway and entered the east shoulder to make a U-turn, but then abruptly reentered the roadway and struck the victim, the FHP said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene

Wysong was cited for making an improper U-turn, the FHP said. The victim’s identity is unclear pending next-of-kin notification.

No further information was immediately available.
