Man drifting his Scion in Cape Coral Publix parking lot arrested

CAPE CORAL, Fla. Cape Coral police say a man allegedly drifting his orange Scion through a parking lot is arrested after he did it in full view of two officers.

Officers saw an orange Scion drifting and speeding through the Publix parking lot at 100 Hancock Bridge Parkway Sunday at 12:15 a.m..

According to police, the Scion nearly struck another vehicle and there were several onlookers on foot in the parking lot.

The officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver, Hector Manso-Paz, 19, was placed under arrest for reckless driving.

A search of his vehicle prior to towing revealed a baggie of cocaine, resulting in an additional possession of cocaine charge for Manso-Paz. Manso-Paz is out of jail on $5,500 bond.
