CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly tried to pawn more than $1,000 in stolen goods, and is accused of stealing a car from a Lee County home.

On August 30, law enforcement told the victim someone had pawned items which were believed to belong to her.

Since the victim was out of state, she asked a neighbor to check her home.

According to Crime Stoppers the neighbor found the victim’s car missing, and the house ransacked, with numerous items, including a flat screen television, entertainment center and surround sound system missing.

Also taken from the home was the victim’s 2012 white Fiat. Detectives are now looking to speak with the man who they believe attempted to pawn some of the stolen items at a Cape Coral pawn shop.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
