Fall begins in SWFL with typical summer weather

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla. Friday is the first day of fall, but it won’t feel like it across Southwest Florida.

The high will reach 91, and it will feel like 101 with the heat and humidity combined, WINK meteorologist Matt Devitt said.

Rain chances will increase throughout the day.

“Heavy rain and lightning are both possible within these stronger cells,” Devitt said.

The summer-like pattern will continue for the weekend.
