MGN PUNTA GORDA, Fla. State Road 31 has reopened from Bermont Road south to the Lee County line, but standing water still exists, the Florida Department of Transportation said. Flooding forced the closure of that stretch of road shortly after the passage of Hurricane Irma. Drivers are urged to use caution as they encounter parts of the road that remain underwater. State Road 31 remains closed between Bermont Road and DeSoto County Road 763.
