NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. Eighteen dogs, one cat and one bird had a safe place to ride out Hurricane Irma thanks to a pair of local organizations. Safe K-9 Transports and Guardians of Rescue worked together to help the Naples family that owns those 20 pets find a temporary home for the furry and feathered creatures at the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers.
