FORT MYERS, Fla. Florida residents are getting a break on driving fees because of Hurricane Irma.

The following driver’s license and motor vehicle fees are waived through Oct. 9, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said:

  • Late fees for driver’s license or vehicle registration renewal if the storm prevented you from paying.
  • The fee for driver’s license or ID card renewal if you lost yours during the storm.
  • The fee for a duplicate title certificate or vehicle registration if the storm caused you to lose it.

The $10 print-on-demand fee for any total vehicle loss related to the storm (if liens have been satisfied) is waived indefinitely.
