State of emergency extended in Hendry County

LABELLE, Fla. Hendry County will extend their local state of emergency following Hurricane Irma, county officials said.

The state of emergency will be extended until 5 p.m. on Sept. 19 due to widespread flooding, impassible roads, downed power lines, county officials said. A vast area that remains without power.
