Bayfront Health Punta Gorda hospital remains closed

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. Bayfront Health isn’t sure when it can open its hospital in Punta Gorda.

But the closure won’t last more than a week or two, spokeswoman Bevin Gallo said.

The company is assessing how long it will take to reopen and resume operations at the hospital, Gallo wrote in a press release. Outpatient services are also stopped until further notice at Bayfront Health North Port.

Bayfront Health Port Charlotte continues to operate and will resume outpatient elective surgical cases Tuesday, the company said.
