Jose continues to weaken over the western Atlantic

FORT MYERS, Fla. Hurricane Jose weakened to a Category 3 storm Sunday afternoon.

Hurricane Jose’s maximum sustained winds decreased to 115 mph as of the 11 p.m. advisory. The storm is moving northwest at 14 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. The system is about 245 miles northeast of Grand Turk Island.

No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.
