Katia dissipates over the terrain of Eastern Mexico

FORT MYERS, Fla. Tropical Depression Katia dissipated over the terrain of Eastern Mexico Saturday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center said.

Katia had maximum sustained winds at 35 mph as of the 10 a.m. advisory, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The system is moving west-southwest at 5 mph. The storm is about 150 miles south of Tampico, Mexico, and about 125 miles west-northwest of Veracruz, Mexico.
