Deadly crash shuts down portion of SR 31 in Punta Gorda

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. At least one person was killed in a fatal crash at the intersection of State Road 31 and Bermont Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The northbound lanes of State Road 31 have been shut down and traffic is being diverted through the southbound lanes, according to the FHP.
