IDs released of bodies found in south Fort Myers apartment

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A 70-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were identified as the two people found dead Friday in an apartment, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The bodies of Phyllis Smithwick and David Smithwick were discovered at the Fountain of Forestwood Apartments complex on Brantley Road, the sheriff’s office said.

Their deaths are not considered suspicious, according to sheriff’s office investigators.
