FORT MYERS, Fla. Two people were found dead Friday afternoon inside an apartment at the Fountain of Forestwood Apartments complex on Brantley Road, Lee County deputies said. The pair, who were discovered around 2 p.m., was a mother and her son, neighbors said. “The neighbors upstairs smelled something, but they thought it was just sewer back up or something,” said resident Colby Hammerschmidt. “Flies starting coming around the complex so they called the cops.” This is an isolated incident that poses no danger to the community, deputies said. No further information is immediately available.
