Victim of Cape Coral shooting identified

CAPE CORAL, Fla. The identity of the victim in a Monday morning shooting has been released.

North Fort Myers resident Roy A. Pike III, 28, was shot on the 1900 block of Cornwallis Parkway, the Cape Coral Police Department said. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Ryan Doyon, 27, is accused of pulling the trigger. He faces a second-degree murder charge and is being held at the Lee County Jail without bond. His next court appearance is June 19.
