An approximately 7-acre brush fire that burned Sunday afternoon by Nalle Grade Road is 100 percent contained, the Bayshore Fire Protection and Rescue Service District said. Three homes were threatened by the flames, but nothing was damaged, Bayshore Fire Chief Larry Nisbet said. The fire began burning around 11:37 a.m. on 6151 Nalle Grade Road, according to the Lee County Public Safety department. It was contained just after 12:45 p.m., Nisbet said. Crews from Bayshore Fire, the North Fort Myers Fire Control District, the Tice Fire and Rescue District, and the Fort Myers Shores Fire Protection and Rescue District worked to extinguish the flames.
