Nicole Valdes / WINK CAPE CORAL, Fla. At least one person was wounded in a shooting Sunday night, the Cape Coral Police Department said. The shooting took place on the 2200 block of Northwest Embers Terrace and was reported to police around 8:30 p.m., the department said. Officers were seen working throughout the overnight hours to process the crime scene. The suspect, who remains at large, was seen in a blue Toyota Camry or Corolla, police said. The car was last observed heading east on Embers parkway with three men inside. Police could not provide a detailed description of the men in the car. Residents in the area expected to see heightened police activity for the next several hours, the department said. Several police officers were gathered around 11 p.m. on nearby Embers Parkway. It’s unclear if that scene was related to the shooting. Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call police at 239-574-3223.
