ARCADIA, Fla. A 37-year-old man died in a crash Monday night near U.S. 17, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The single-vehicle wreck happened around 9 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 17 and Southwest Fletcher Street, according to the FHP.

Arcadia resident Kiakee B. Henry was traveling south on Southwest Fletcher Street when he lost control of his 2017 Ford F-150, State troopers said. He continued across the roadway onto the west shoulder and hit two construction barrels.

The Ford then hit a guardrail and overturned multiple times, according to State troopers. Henry was thrown from the truck, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Henry was not wearing a seat belt and it’s unclear if alcohol was involved in the crash, State troopers said.

No further information was immediately available.
