Motorcyclists to ride, help veterans at SWFL event

CAPE CORAL, Fla. Southwest Florida motorcyclists can ride for a good cause Sunday at the Honor Flight Motorcycle Run.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and begins at the Southwest Florida Military Museum and Library on 4820 Leonard St.

The run makes additional stops at Woody’s Surfside Island Rum & Grille on 2408 Surfside Blvd. and Mission BBQ on 12984 S. Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers.

The ride concludes at Six Bends Harley-Davidson on 9501 Thunder Road in south Fort Myers. A concert will take place following the motorcycle run.

The event costs $10 for riders, $15 for drivers and attendees can purchase a T-shirt for $20.

Proceeds benefit the Collier County Honor Flight, which is dedicated to organizing trips for veterans to visit war memorials in Washington D.C. The nonprofit organization also serves Lee County.
