NAPLES, Fla. Donna Treiser is inching closer to her goal of raising one million soda can tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. Treiser, a fourth-grade teacher at Big Cypress Elementary School, has been collecting the tabs for the last 15 years and hopes to reach her goal before she retires in June. She’s currently collected over 900,000. “I know I will be able to reach my goal, but I’m hoping that we can continue with it and even surpass my goal of one million this year,” she said. Those who want to help can drop off the tabs at any Collier County McDonald’s or at the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Myers from now until May 26.
