Sawfish emergency response seeks answers to Florida Keys mortality eventNo swim advisory for Park Shore Beach in Naples
FORT MYERS, Fla. DeSoto and western Charlotte counties are now under a water shortage warning that has covered most of Southwest Florida for several weeks, the Southwest Florida Water Management District said. The primary purpose for the Phase I water shortage warning is to alert the public that watering restrictions could be forthcoming, the district said. The order doesn’t change lawn watering schedules but prohibits “wasteful and unnecessary” water use. Cape Coral earlier this month restricted watering to one day a week for its residents.
