A MasTec utility employee was killed after coming in contact with a high-voltage power line on Tuesday afternoon, Lee County Electric Cooperative spokeswoman Karen Ryan said. The worker had earlier been hospitalized in critical condition, Cape Coral Fire Department Division Chief Mike Russell said. The events that led up to the situation are unclear. No further information is immediately available.
