NAPLES, Fla. A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday for allegedly snorting cocaine in front of a deputy during mandatory fire evacuations, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Joshua Benz, of 11th Street Southwest, waved down a patrol car as he was walking in the middle of the road. When the deputy began advising Benz about the evacuations, he took out a bag and started snorting cocaine, according to the sheriff’s office.

Benz is currently in custody facing a drug possession charge with a $5,000 bond.
