NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. Crews contained a small brush fire Saturday evening that ignited near U.S. 41 and Diplomat Parkway East, the Caloosahatchee Forestry Center said.

The fire appeared to have originated in a homeless camp, fire officials said.

Firefighters are also battling an 8-acre brush fire near the intersection of White Lake Boulevard and Shearwater Street in Naples, which is 80 percent contained, according to the Caloosahatchee Forestry Center.

No further information is immediately available.
