FORT MYERS, Fla. Hundreds of bikers gathered Saturday morning for the 14th annual Easter Bunny Toy Run.

Hosted by the Six Bends Harley-Davidson at 9501 Thunder Road, the goal of the event was to bring toys to children in the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Health Park.

Participants rode from the Six Bends Harley-Davidson and were escorted by police to the hospital, where the children were excitedly waiting.

“When you ride past all the ambulatory patients that are outside the hospital and see the smiles… the kids are in wheelchairs, yet they’re smiling and clapping. It just makes the world worthwhile,” said Southwest Florida HOG member Ron Cox.

The toys were used to resupply the hospital’s numerous playrooms.
