Photo via Channing Frampton / WINK News ALVA, Fla. One person died in a crash early Saturday morning on Palm Beach Boulevard near Balsey Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Officials responded to the two-vehicle crash at approximately 3:18 a.m., the FHP said. Juan Carlos Monjaras, 42, of LaBelle, was killed in the crash while the 16-year-old driver of a 2006 Toyota Tacoma sustained critical injuries and was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, the FHP said. Monjaras was driving a 2007 Chevy Avalanche westbound on the eastbound lane of State Road 80 and collided with the front of the Toyota Tacoma driving eastbound on State Road 80, FHP said. Both cars came to a final stop near the area of the collision, FHP said. No further information was immediately available.
