MGN LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. A 19-year-old man was killed in a crash Friday morning at the intersection of Sunniland and Lee boulevards, Lee County deputies said. The crash occurred around 9:12 a.m. Jorge Arnaldo Ramon was traveling south on Sunniland Boulevard in his 2000 Honda while an unidentified driver in a 2005 Chrysler was approaching Sunniland Boulevard from Lee Boulevard. However, Ramon failed to stop for stop sign and drove into the path of the Chrysler. The driver of the Chrysler tried to avoid Ramon, but to no avail, according to deputies. Ramon was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert and later succumbed to his injuries. It is unclear whether the driver of the Chrysler sustained any injuries.
