South Fort Myers Armed Platoon Exhibition Team earned 5th place trophy in Army National Drill Meet. SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A South Fort Myers High School JROTC team just became the first from Lee County to place in the top five of the Army National Drill Meet. The 13 cadets competed against 50 teams from across the United States on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky. The team placed fifth in the Armed Platoon Exhibition, fourth in the Armed Dual Exhibition and eighth in the Armed Exhibition Individual. Armed exhibition drills are routines that involve complex marching sequences with demilitarized rifles.
