Eagles baseball loses close game to FSU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. The FGCU baseball team was defeated by Florida State University at Dick Howser Stadium Tuesday night, making it the team’s third consecutive loss.

The Seminoles jumped to an early lead with two runs in the second inning and another in the third.

But the Eagles fought back in the top of the fourth inning with a two-run homer from senior Nick Rivera, beginning a back-and-forth battle for the lead.

However, the Eagles ultimately lost to the Seminoles 7-6.

FGCU will face FSU for game two Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Dick Howser Stadium.
